Animal osteopathy has historically developed by observing the evolution of human osteopathy, drawing inspiration from its practices, its framework of practice and its professional organisation. This closeness between the two disciplines has naturally fostered, over time, exchanges between their respective practitioners.
In this context, my involvement in professional associations first developed during my years of study at the UFEOA, then continued as part of my professional activity within the collective of animal osteopaths.
Throughout this journey, I have had the opportunity to engage with various unions and associations in human osteopathy, in a spirit of dialogue and mutual understanding of the shared challenges facing both professions.
It was in this context that, in 2022, I was interviewed by Pierre-Adrien Liot for the Syndicat Français des Ostéopathes DO (SFDO). The aim of this interview was to provide an overview of current developments in animal osteopathy, addressing its evolution, its regulatory challenges, and the relationships between the various stakeholders in the sector.
This interview forms part of a broader effort to encourage dialogue between the professions.
