On 26 and 27 October 2019 at the Sorbonne Pierre et Marie Curie, SymbiOsteo brought together nearly 500 animal health professionals around osteopathy.

During my second year of involvement within UFEOA, the many exchanges held with professionals in the sector highlighted a clear observation: animal osteopathy still lacked unity and dialogue between its various stakeholders. Thanks to the association's central position among students, institutions and animal health professionals, we wanted to develop a unifying project that would carry real meaning for the profession.

It was within this momentum that the SymbiOsteo Congress was born, with a clear ambition: to bring together, within a single event, all the stakeholders of animal health and osteopathy — vets, human osteopaths, vets practising osteopathy, and animal osteopaths.

Through this large-scale project, our aim was to draw up a snapshot of the discipline by offering a rich and varied programme of talks, representing the different approaches, practices and schools of thought that make up animal osteopathy.

The event brought together nearly 500 participants at the Sorbonne Pierre et Marie Curie, Faculty of Sciences in Paris, in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, the National Council of the Order of Veterinary Surgeons, as well as veterinary unions.
